2010 Mazda3 1.6 Tamura - extra appeal and features
Mazda has announced the Mazda3 1.6 Tamura, a special edition vehicle set to offer customers even greater ‘added value'. Scheduled to expand the Mazda3 line-up from 1 February 2010, the new 1.6 Tamura is based on the striking TS model. It further benefits from a fresh new Sports styling kit, which is consist of sports front grille, side skirts and sports bumpers, larger 17-inch alloys wrapped with low-profile 205/50 R17 tyres, front fog lamps, special badging and free metallic paint.
Boasting an amazingly sophisticated appearance with more dynamic stance, the 2010 Mazda3 Tamura will be available for an on-the-road price of £14,995. Its 1.6-litre petrol power unit with 105 horsepower is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and catapults the Tamura from standstill to 62 mph in only 12.2 seconds. In comparison with previous generation 1.6 models, the newcomer estimates lower CO2 emissions of 149 g/km and combined fuel economy figure of 44.8 mpg.
In addition to the new, sportier styling of the exterior, the special edition Mazda3 Tamura packs numerous features as standard including: remote central locking, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, welcome mode lighting, a leather steering wheel with audio controls, an MP3 compatible audio system with six speakers and auxiliary (AUX) jack input, as well as power folding mirrors and electric front and rear windows.
The standard Mazda3 safety equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS), six airbags and Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS) System. This new ESS system automatically activates the hazard warning lights at cruising speeds when the ABS sensors detect emergency braking.
