Maserati GranCabrio Sport is the latest addition to the premium, sporty brand's stellar line-up of exclusive rides. Ready to offer customers a whole new level of performance and handling blended with the eye-catching styling, open-air excitement and comfort of the Maserati GranCabrio, which debuted at 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 2011 Maserati GranCabrio Sport will sit directly next to the GranTurismo S and the Quattroporte Sport GT S.

The Maserati GranCabrio Sport is scheduled for public unveil at the next week's starting Geneva Motor Show, utilizing a more powerful and fuel-efficient version of Maserati's, 4.7-litres V8, mated to a ZF six-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to its powerful plant, the sportier grand-touring convertible will be able to produce the extraordinary 450 horsepower (331 kW) and 510 Nm of peak torque, while its max speed will be limited to 285 km/h.

Furthermore, the open-air charmer sports a super-fast MC Auto Shift software inspired from the Quattroporte Sport GT S, a revised Skyhook active-suspension system and drilled dual-cast brake discs.

On the outside, the 2011 GranCabrio Sport exudes even more athleticism, as it has a black grille and a Trident with red accents, black headlights with white sidemarks, as well as body-colored front corner splitters and the reshaped side skirts.

Maserati GranCabrio Sport will hit the market in summer 2011, offering an additional body finish - Rosso Trionfale.
