The car is based on the Boss 302. The special edition - Laguna Seca is designed specially for the weekend racers, who can drive it to and at the coarse and back home, without any concerns.

It features Black or Ingot Silver paint, red accents, revised aggressive front spoiler from Boss 302R, a bigger rear spoiler, huge 19" wheels with R-compound high performance tires.

Inside, Boss 302 Laguna Seca includes sport seats, a revised instrument cluster, an Alcantara steering wheel, dark metallic trim, and a black pool-cue shifter. Furthermore, the weight is reduced by removing rear seat and replacing it with an X-brace that increases chassis stiffness by 10 per cent.

The suspension is slightly improved by stiffened springs and a larger rear stabilizer bar.

Boss 302 Laguna Seca is powered by 5.0 liter V8 with 440hp (328 kW) and 515Nm of torque (380lb-ft). The engine is mated with a six-speed close-ratio manual gearbox, which sends power to the rear wheels through a Torsen LSD (Limited Slip Differential).

The improvements gained Laguna Seca better stopping distance (by three feet), faster 0-60mph time (one tenth of a second), more lateral acceleration and overall expected lap time improvement of one to two seconds over the standard Boss 302.
