2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster
Mercedes-Benz has exclusively unleashed the third generation of its stellar sports ride 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster. Representing one of the most striking models on the market, the new model SLK Roadster shares many design highlights with the new SLS and the CLS and comes with a long list of high-end innovations, including the all-new panoramic vario-roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL, which switches to light or dark at the touch of a button.
On the ride's market launch, Mercedes will offer the ride in three variants with new, different power units with direct injection. The SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY and SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY will be packed with four-cylinder plants and will develop 184 horsepower and 204 horsepower respectively. The top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 BlueEFFICIENCY will benefit from a V6 engine with 306 horsepower, and will sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds flat. Utilizing 3rd-generation direct injection, piezo injectors and multi-spark ignition, the superb engine will estimates fuel consumption of 7.1 litres (NEDC, combined) for over 100 kilometers (167 g of CO2 per kilometer). An ECO start/stop system will be fitted in all models as part of the standard equipment.
Inside the cabin, a brushed aluminum trim is offered as standard, and optionally a wood one is available. The communications and entertainment display is found in the center of the dash, offering access to both the driver and passenger. On the top of the dashboard, a fine analogue clock emphasizes the roadster's stylish vision.
The 3rd generation SLK Roadster will be available for order from 17 January 2011. The price tags for the three variants, including VAT are the following:
