The car is slightly modified compared to the ordinary CLS and features a new hood, modified bumpers, a revised grille, and unique front fenders. It also has an aggressive rear diffuser, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, LED daytime running lights and 19" five-spoke alloy wheels.
The interior boasts burl walnut trim, but there is an option for piano black and carbon fiber trim, AMG sports seats, and a three-spoke steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles for the gearbox.
2012 CLS 63 AMG is powered by 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 with 525PS (386 kW) and 699Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed Speedshift MCT transmission. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155mph).
There is also an optional AMG Performance Package, which boosts the engine to the whopping 558PS (410 kW) and 799Nm (590 lb-ft). The acceleration time is slightly beter - 4.3 seconds to 60mph and the top speed is now 299 km/h (186mph).
The adaptive AMG suspension has three settings - Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The package also includes a wider front axle, a revised electro-hydraulic steering system, and high-performance cross-drilled brakes.
2012 CLS 63 AMG is expected to hit the market in United States this summer.
