2015 Ford Edge And What it Has to Offer
The stylish Ford Edge SUV will be offered in Europe with a two options of engine-transmission pair: the first one is a 180 hp (135 kW) 2.0-liter TDCi diesel engine with six-speed manual transmission and the second one is 120 hp (154 kW) bi-turbo 2.0-liter TDCi diesel with six-speed PowerShift automatic gearbox. Both options deliver up to 78.4 mpg fuel efficiency and 149 g/km CO2 supported by Auto-Start-Stop system.
The Edge also will include Ford's upgraded Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system as standard feature. This technology delivers a seamless transition between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive performance to ensure secure footing on the road.

And now the latest Edge will offer and numerous hi-tech gadgets, including Adaptive steering, Front Split View Camera and Pre-Collision Assist System. Furthermore, the vehicle is geared with a safety suite that earned the highest 5-star rating from independent crash test authority Euro NCAP. So, you would definitely feel comfortable and safe in such a vehicle.
Furthermore, the outstanding refinement is achieved via acoustic windscreen glass and laminated glass for the driver and front passenger door. This all helps to minimise the noise in the cabin. There are also special underbody panels and wheel well liners that further reduce the noise levels coming from the road. In fact, almost all Edge models are also equipped with Ford's Active Noise Control tech, which detects unwanted noise coming from the engine and cancels it with opposing sound waves. How cool is that?
The Edge also comes and with interesting interior design. It offers high-quality materials, including soft-touch trims on the dashboard and centre console, high-gloss piano black surrounds on the switch bezels and satin silver metal finish for the door handles.
