AMG Releases Sport Edition For Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG Sport Edition now will feature wide range of new enhancements that will add to the visual appeal of the car as well as to its aerodynamic characteristics. The new model line substitutes the current AMG Sport and AMG Sport Plus and will be applicable to all Saloon, Estate and Coupé variants.
AMG Sport Edition will keep the emblematic AMG bodystyling of the current line. It will also retain the steering wheel, alloy wheels and 15 mm lower sports suspension, but will add AMG boot lid spoiler, and dark-tinted headlamps and high-gloss black grille.
In terms of interior, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class enhanced by AMG will be equipped with AMG Sport Plus seats wrapped in black Artico and Dinamica with blue/grey contrast stitching. Split folding rear seats have been added to the Saloon variant. In addition, next to the new dark brushed aluminium trim, the gear shift lever will include grey contrast stitching. The same treatment is applied to the Dinamica-covered door panel trim.
The 18-inch seven-spoke AMG alloy wheels have been made an optional choice. AMG will alsso offer two optional packages. The comprises of COMAND Online with Media Interface, reversing camera, heated front seats, Lighting Package and DAB digital radio. On the other hand the Premium Plus Package adds to the first pack panoramic glass sunroof.
For the new model year (MY2014) the engine and line combinations for C-Class has been reduced from 47 to just 19. This means that they consist of two trims and four engines. In fact, the AMG Sport Edition will be offered for the Saloon, Estate and Coupé variants of C 220 CDI and C 250 CDI.
