BMW made a special exhibition last year called "Concept Vehicles", where the company presented a range of unusual concepts. Now two new vehicles will appear at the BMW Museum. Their code names are SIMPLE and CLEVER.

SIMPLE combines features and advantages from cars and motorcycles. This concept is super lightweight and has extremely low fuel consumption. The vehicle is only 450kg and has 36kW engine. 0 to 100km/h is achieved in under 10 seconds. The engine needs only 6kWh ( equal to 0.7 litres of petrol) to cover distance of 100km.

CLEVER is the other creation by BMW AG.

"Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport", a.k.a. CLEVER is targeted to people, who search low emission and practictal city vehicle. The BMW Group took extra care about the technological management and the construction of the chassis, interior and exterior. CLEVER is powered by 1 cylinder-engine 230cc with 12.5kW, powered by natural gas. The car has two gas cylinders each contain 1.7 kilograms of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) to provide a range of about 200 kilometres. Performance is good enough– 0 to 60km/h in around 7 seconds and has a top speed of 100km/h.

The safety is one of the top priorities, when a new concept is developed, so CLEVER is equipped with  driver airbag. The car is specially designed to meet the requirements of the Euro NCAP and even in a frontal collision at 56km/h, the three-wheeled prototype offered a secure survival cell.
