Cadillac has announced a special Black Diamond Edition of its ultra performance beast Cadillac CTS-V for this spring. The name of the exclusive CTS-V comes from its sleek tri-coat paint "Black Diamond" and will be available with all Cadillac CTS-V models - Sedan, Coupe and Wagon.

Featuring a whole new dimension, the innovative Black Diamond paint uses aluminum flakes encapsulated in a glass-like substance called magnesium fluoride, resulting in a diamond-like sparkle as the light hits the surface from different angles.

Michelle Killen, Cadillac exterior paint designer shares: "The CTS-V Black Diamond Edition is like a finely crafted, tailored tuxedo. The base color may be a simple black, but the details and richness of the material set it apart."

This exclusive paint finish comes in answer to the high demand by luxury buyers for paints that are set apart not just by their color but also by their special effects.

Additionally to the special paint finish, the CTS-V Black Diamond standard highlights include:

  • Satin Graphite 19-inch wheels with yellow Brembo brake calipers (six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers)
  • Recaro seats with 14 adjustable elements and French-stitched leather with microfiber suede inserts in the center sections and on the cushions and seatbacks.
  • Midnight Sapele wood trim

At its launch, the Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond will be price tagged at 69,190 USD for the manual and 70,490 USD for the automatic version, a 4,850 USD premium over the CTS-V base price.
