The Maranello-based super sports car manufacturer Ferrari has officially unwrapped its latest performance-oriented creation – the Ferrari 599 GTO. Overtaking immediately the 1st place at the brand's fastest ever road car chart, the new 599 GTO is developed on the basis on the remarkable Ferrari 599XX. Typically in Ferrari style, the new ride will be manufactured in limited edition – only 599 units worldwide.

Scheduled for public unveil at the forthcoming Auto China 2010(April 25 -May 2), the spicy Maranello vehicle marks the company's technological apex. Its output figures top 670 horsepower (500 kW) at 8250 revs and 620 Nm (457 lbs/ft) at 6500 rpm. Thanks to these amazing values delivered by the 5999 cc 65-degree V12 power unit and backed by a stunning dry weight of 1495 kg, the 599 GTO is capable to sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.35 seconds before reaching a V-max of over 335 km/h.

Besides its enormous power rates, the new Ferrari addition also benefits from long list of new and innovative features highlighting revised carbon-ceramic brake unit, brand-new wheel doughnuts for better aerodynamic efficiency and brake cooling, Supersport tyres specifically designed by Michelin and Virtual Race Engineer (VRE) interface, which provides the driver with instantaneous info on performance.

The price tag of the Ferrari 599 GTO is expected to be around $460,000.
