Honda restyles the Accord for 2011
Honda has released the details on its updated for model year 2011 Honda Accord Sedan and Coupe, which market launch is scheduled for mid-August. Packed with more bold, elegant and stylish outer and inner dress, improved fuel efficiency and a new leather-fitted Special Edition (SE) trim level, the 2011 Honda Accord will be available in 4-cylinder and V-6 versions.
Erik Berkman, vice president of Corporate Planning and Logistics for American Honda Motor Co., Inc, says: "For 2011, the Accord evolves again with sharpened styling inside and out, fuel economy gains and a broader application of popular features. The Accord is designed to deliver a consistently rewarding ownership experience in the areas that matter most to sedan and coupe drivers."
Building on the car's successful character, the 2011 Accord Coupe is reinforced by a bolder front grille design, newly shaped front bumper, enhanced brakelight appearance and a new rims design for the V-6 models.
The Accord SE Sedan offers the additional features from the popular Accord LX-P with the added luxury of leather-trimmed seating, heated seats, driver's power-lumbar support and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
New standard features included for 2011 are steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the Accord EX-L V-6 Coupe, a USB Audio Interface on all coupe models and Accord EX and EX-L Sedans, and a rear view camera on sedans equipped with the available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System. Moreover, the Accord EX-L V-6 gets a two-position memory system for the driver's seat. Additional interior updates on all models include new seat fabrics on models with cloth seats, an enhanced instrument panel and more-refined accent points throughout the interior.
In the performance compartment, undoubted highlight is the enthusiasts-aimed Accord EX-L V-6 Coupe with 6-speed manual transmission and a vigor 3.5-liter V-6 VTEC engine, which provides a specially tuned valvetrain, intake and exhaust unit to broaden the torque curve in the low- to mid-rpm range.
