Infiniti M37 offers future technologies at decent price
Infiniti M37 is the new of a trio of V6-powered, RWD luxury performance saloons to take on Europe's executive-car market. The vehicle will be offered in five different grades priced from £35 150.
The engine under the hood is 3.7-litre V6 petrol delivering 320PS. This acceleration is satisfying – 0 to 62 mph in 6.2 seconds and the top speed is limited to 155mph. The car returns 27.7 mpg on the combined cycle and emits 235g/km of CO2.
Infinit M37 features advanced technologies such as Dynamic Safety Shield, which includes Blind Spot Intervention™, a system which registers nearby vehicles and helps ensure the car cannot stray into their path.
Other innovative technology is the Active Noise Control and Forest Air™, a climate control system that recreates the gentle breezes and subtle scents of an environment known to promote alertness and relieve stress.
The standard equipment of Infiniti M37 is probably the best on the market. It includes 7-speed automatic transmission, bi-Xenon lights, 10-way power front seats, reversing camera, hard disk drive (HDD) sound system and Infiniti's new Drive Mode Selector which tailors key driving parameters to Sport, Normal, Snow and Eco settings.
If you order M37 GT, which starts from £37 650, the car comes with semi-aniline leather, heated and ventilated front seats and White Ash wood trim with silver powder finish.
The next level is M37S – priced at £39 650 adds 4-Wheel Active Steering (4WAS), sports suspension, sports seats (also heated and ventilated), gearshift paddles and 20" alloy wheels.
The premium version of GT and the S come with the Dynamic Safety Shield package, Forest Air, a 16-speaker Bose® sound system and Infiniti's acclaimed Connectiviti+ information and entertainment platform comprising 30GB HDD navigation. The first one is priced at £43 000 and the second - £45 000
Infiniti M30d diesel is scheduled in October and an M35 hybrid in spring 2011. Prices and specifications for these versions will be announced later this year.
