2017 Hyundai IONIQ HybridIONIQ, Hyundai's bold challenge towards the future is officially on sale!

UK buyers will be pleased to know that the lineup offers Hybrid and Electric variants and a bit later in 2017 there will be available Plug-In Hybrids.

But the drivetrain system is not the only impressive thing in the lineup. The exterior is eye-catching, just like the interior is. All IONIQ models feature airflow-optimized body, aluminum bonnet and tailgate, ample cargo space and tons of neat body lines and curves. In the cabin driver and passengers will deal with contemporary smartphone integration systems, wireless phone charging, next-gen safety systems and of course, overall cozy and comfortable design that enhances the pleasure of driving.

What about the trim levels and separate models? IONIQ model will be offered as follows:

IONIQ Hybrid range is geared with a SE 1.6 GDi power unit and features DAB with Bluetooth, Cruise Control and Rear Parking Sensors with Rear View Camera. In terms of safety there are Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist System and Individual Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Sounds cool, right?

The next in line is the Hybrid Premium model that offers the aid of a 1.6-liter GDi unit with keyless entry, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, Bi-Xenon headlamps and multifunctional 7-inch LCD display. There are also satellite navigation with TomTom Live services, Infiniti audio system, Android Auto/Apple Carplay smartphone integration, Wireless Phone Charging and more.

Furthermore, all the vehicles in the Hybrid sub-lineup can be specified with a total of seven different exterior finishes: Phantom Black, Polar White, Platinum Silver, Iron Grey, Demitasse Brown, Marina Blue and Phoenix Orange.

The Hybrids will be offered along with the IONIQ Electric range that proudly showcases the latest achievement in the electric-motor industry. The first in line is the IONIQ Electric that can cover a range of 174 miles with a single charge and offers all that Hybrid Premium offers, along with Automatic Windscreen Wipers with Rain Sensors, 16-inch alloys, LED headlamps and Advanced Smart Cruise Control.

On the other hand, Electric Premium SE features leather seats with heated front and rear seats, heated leather steering wheel, Blind Spot Detection, Front Parking Sensors and EV-exclusive 16-inch alloys.

Furthermore, all electric models will be geared with standard ICCB Charging Cable, regenerative braking system and can be specified with one of six exterior colors: Polar White, Phantom Black, Platinum Silver, Marina Blue, Phoenix Orange and exclusively for IONIQ Electric, Blazing Yellow.

IONIQ Hybrid will be available for order worldwide from 27 October, while the Electric lineup will be available later in 2017.
