Stig is ... Ben Collins. This is official information.  He has been identified through the High Court of London.  BBC tried to block the publication of Collin's autobiography revealing his role of The Stig for the past seven years, but their attempt failed.

The secret identity of the race driver had huge marketing success for the Top Gear publication and television show. Even in one of the episodes of the famous TV show, Michael Schumacher was dressed like the Stig and removed his helmet. However, few of the fans believed that he is the mystic driver.

As you may remember, the person who previously played the Stig character, Perry McCarthy, also revealed his role in his autobiography called Flat Out, Flat Broke.
