The all-new Jaguar XJ will public debut at this year’s Salon Privé
Visitors to this year's Salon Privé, 22-24 July, will be the first members of the public to see Jaguar's stunning, all-new XJ model, just two weeks after its global unveiling. The all-new XJ will not go on general sale until the end of 2009, but Jaguar will take orders at Salon Privé, with first customers due to receive their cars in early 2010. Prices start at £52,500 for the standard wheelbase, 3.0-litre V6 diesel Luxury.
Held at London's prestigious Hurlingham Club, Salon Privé will be the first public opportunity to appreciate the car's next-generation, aerospace-inspired, aluminium body architecture and new standards of personal luxury and specification, including its all-new, panoramic glass roof and Bowers & Wilkins 1200W premium sound system.
The new XJ will take centre stage in the Hurlingham Club's Palm Court, while Jaguar will also show its 2010 XF and XK series, on the nearby Super Car Lawns.
"Salon Privé is the right choice for us to debut the new XJ," said Geoff Cousins, UK Managing Director of Jaguar Cars. "The quintessentially British setting of the Hurlingham Club is the ideal venue to debut the latest in a long line of iconic British luxury cars and the event offers an excellent opportunity to put the new XJ in front of an audience of potential customers."
This year's Salon Privé is expected to be the biggest yet, with ticket demand higher than ever, driven by an unprecedented number of super and luxury car debuts and an extensive Concours d' Elegance.
Said the event's co-founder, David Bagley: "We're delighted to welcome Jaguar back to the event. Jaguar obviously appreciates the enormous opportunity Salon Privé offers in accessing an audience of genuine luxury and super car customers."
