Pagani Huayra
Pagani has officially revealed Huayra, which will make its public debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The strange name comes from the god of wind and the car is really as fast as a hurricane. The engine is 6.0 liter bi-turbo V12 with 710PS (522 kW) and 1000Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. The power plant is mated to an XTRAC 7-speed sequential transmission which weighs 96 kg (212 lbs) and is mounted transversely behind the engine.
The overall weight of Huayra is 1 350 kg (2 975 lb) and the acceleration is just astonishing - 3.3 seconds to 100 km/h and top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph), nice!
As you may suggest from the staggering top speed, Huayra is designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. It has four adjustable flaps which can operate independently to improve downforce as needed. Furthermore, the sleek carbon fiber body incorporates gullwing doors and plenty of openings to for cooling the engine.
The interior is as good as the exterior and performance. There are premium leather upholstery, aluminum components and a lot of carbon fiber. Still, you will get also a touch-screen infotainment system and Bluetooth connectivity.
All this pleasure has its price and it is a lot... Really, we mean it. It will start from €1 000 000 .
