Revised diesel and petrol engines for the new Porsche Cayenne
Recently, Porsche has announced that two six-cylinder models Cayenne and Cayenne Diesel will go in production and now they are available for sale. Now, the company is starting deliveries of highly anticipated SUVs. Both vehicles offer highly comfortable sportiness and superior offroad driving qualities with truly outstanding efficiency on average fuel consumption of less than 10 ltr/ 100 kilometres or better than 28.3 mpg.
Cayenne is equipped with Tiptronic S – automatic transmission, which offers extraordinary fuel consumption – 9.9 ltr/ 100km (28.5mpg). The diesel version is even more efficient – 7.4 ltr/ 100km (38.2mpg). Both vehicles cover Euro 5 regulations and achieve CO2 emissions of only 195g/km. The fuel consumption is reduced thanks to Tiptronic S eight-speed automatic transmission with Auto Start Stop and an extra-wide spread of gear ratios.
The petrol version of Cayenne is powered by 3.6 litre V6 combined with a six-speed manual gearbox delivering 300hp (220 kW). The sprint to 100 km/h is covered in 7.5 seconds (Tiptronic S - 7.8 seconds) and the vehicle has top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).
The diesel version is also V6 and delivers maximum output of 240 hp(176 kW), accelerating the car from a 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. Top speed is 218 km/h (135 mph). Cayenne Diesel comes as standard with eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission featuring an Auto Start Stop function.
Another standard equipment features two-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, a Headlight Assistant, the CDR-31 audio system operated from a touchscreen, 18" wheels. As an option you can order the SUV with Lane Change Assistant and Adaptive Cruise Control, PDLS Porsche Dynamic Light System and Burmester High-End Surround Sound System with 16 channels and 1,000 Watt maximum output.
The petrol Cayenne is priced at Euro 55 431 and the diesel version is slightly more expensive - Euro 59 596.
