Rolls-Royce has just added another noble, ultra-luxury ride to its stellar line-up of exclusive hand-built masterpieces dubbed Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase.

Unwrapped at the now running, 14th Auto Shanghai Motor Show, the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase is aimed at buyers who demand for even more space and comfort without sacrificing the model's unique balance of dynamism and poise.

The newly premiered Ghost Extended Wheelbase will be built in limited examples for 2011 until its full production begins in 2012. Its interior ambience is further reinforced thanks to the addition of 170 mm to the car's wheelbase. Besides that significant improvement, the Extended Wheelbase version of the Ghost is also fitted with a panoramic sunroof, which sets new standards for cabin light and comfort.

In the terms of performance, all-new, ‘extended' luxury saloon benefits the British automaker's renowned twin turbo charged V12 powerplant which delivers the amazing output of 563 horsepower and 780Nm of torque at just 1,500 revolutions thus catapults it from zero to 100 km/h in just five seconds.

Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, stated: "This latest Rolls-Royce is a model of outstanding design and unrivalled luxury. Ghost Extended Wheelbase delivers all the poise and dynamism enjoyed by discerning Ghost owners, with the indulgent experience of an extended wheelbase car. It is the very best of both worlds."
