2015 SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo has been revealed and this makes me very happy because FCA has done this via many pictures and detailed information. These images can be viewed in the gallery below. There is also an official video that shows the mightiness of this car. As a matter of fact, after seeing it I regret that it will stay in the virtual world only. Here is why.

The single-seat will hit the virtual track of the Gran Turismo 6 PlayStation3 game this summer. It will be powered by a futuristic hybrid V-10, pumping out 2,590 combined horsepower! Can you believe that? But everything is possible in the virtual world, isn't it?

Players can access three powerful versions of the car only after successfully completing challenges. At first, they will find the entry level SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo S, then the racing version GTS-R and eventually they can drive the experimental technology ultimate version X concept.

Design

The design of the car is extreme and no one can argue on that. Aggressive, powerful and aerodynamically optimized in every way, it only makes us wish that it isn't a vehicle from the real world. An interesting fact is that the SRT Tomahawk was actually born from an internal design competition for a futuristic interpretation of a 2035 Dodge.

The winning design was a creation of Paul Hoste, who's young enough and new to FCA, and also grew up playing Gran Turismo.

The shape of the car is an expression of movement and flow. At the front we have aggressive forms, while the rear seems to be a little bit angular, with asymmetric fenders and a powerful exhaust with five large ports were integrated in the rear diffuser.

The cockpit and engine cover are made from graphene, which is lighter than the carbon and contribute to the transparency. Large air intake for engine cooling, active panels above the front and rear fenders characterize the design. At last, we can't skip the thin LED lights that contribute for the futuristic look of this virtual car.

Performance Levels

As mentioned, the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo will be available in three variations. The entry level carries the "S" designation and it is powered by 7.0-liter wide-angle V-10 unit, which is tuned to produce 792 hp (582 kW).  At the front, the car adds pneumatically driven wheels that contribute for additional 215 hp (158 kW), thus making a total system output of 1,007 hp (740 kW). The top speed is 250 mph.

The racing version of the virtual car is called GTS-R. The V-10 under its hood pushes up to 1,137 hp (836 kW), while the air-driven front wheels add 313 hp (230 kW) contributing for a total system output of 1,450 hp (1066 kW). The top speed is in excess of 300 mph.

At last, the ultimate version "X" can set redline at 14,500 rpm, thanks to its innovative V-10 engine which pumps out 2,168 hp (1594 kW). Here, the front wheel drivetrain contributes an additional 422 hp (310 kW) at peak, for total output of 2,590 hp (1911 kW). The Vmax here is stunning: 404 mph. The extreme performance of this version requires a G-suit for the driver for maximum protection.

What is really sad here is that we have to wait a little bit longer to have access to these beautiful cars. Until then we can wipe our tears and take a dreamy look at the video and pictures below.
