The staggering Brabus T65 RS - 800 Hp and 1420 Nm
Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series is the currently one of the most powerful cars in the world. The engine is V12 twin-turbo delivering 670 Hp and 1000 Nm. Some say, that everything after 500+hp is waste of energy, time and resources. That't not true.
Brabus presents T65 RS, based on SL 65 AMG Black Series. T65 RS boasts 800hp and 1420 Nm of torque. The car accelerates like a lightning-bolt, 0-200km/h in 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (206 mph). On the top of the staggering performance, Brabus offers special upholstery for the interior from the finest leather and Alcantara. Additionally, the options are special paintjobs such as matte black, which according to our opinion is the best colour for the monster. There are also custom-designed personalized logos on the illuminated scuff plates and the speedometer.
The tuning of the engine includes high-tech twin turbo system with two special exhaust manifolds with integrated turbine housings and high-performance turbochargers. There are four large intercoolers, which are place beneath the carbon-fiber hood scoop. The special BRABUS stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts was specifically designed for the Black Series power upgrade.
Brabus created new maps for injection and ignition. The high-tech lubricants for the entire powertrain are supplied by ARAL.
The T65 RS engine develops 800hp / 588 kW at 5 500rpm and a peak torque of 1 420 Nm / 1 047 lb-ft at only 2 100 rpm. . Peak torque is limited electronically to 1 100 Nm, because no transmission can handle all this power.
The whole car weighs only 1 795 kg / 3 957 lbs and the acceleration is astonishing – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, the 200 km/h come in 9.8 seconds. The car is capable of doing 330 km/h (206 mph), but for safety reasons is limited electronically to 320 km/h ( 200 mph), like there is a difference?!
The interior is specially made to bring maximum satisfaction to the customers. Every single detail has exact specifications. The power comfort seats offer excellent lateral support without constricting the occupants. They are upholstered in an exclusive combination of soft and breathable black leather and Alcantara. The door panels are also done with the same materials, as well as the headliner and dashboard. Precision-sewn red seams add striking highlights to all interior elements. Last, but not least, the stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated logo and the speedometer that sports the car's name were also custom-made for this car's owner.
