The new 2010 Range Rover, the 2010 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4, recently launched to the world at the New York International Auto show, will all be showcased for the first time in the UK at the 2009 Motorexpo - set in the business district of Canary Wharf - from June 8-14, 2009.

The significant improvements to these vehicles include: two new refined and powerful engines - the 3.0-litre LR-TDV6 diesel engine available for the 2010 Range Rover Sport and the Discovery 4, delivering over 30mpg and the all-new 5.0-litre supercharged LR-V8 petrol engine for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport - improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions, striking exterior design changes, and completely redesigned interiors bringing new levels of refinement and craftsmanship.

In addition to a host of new intelligent technologies deployed across all three vehicles, which enhance usability, safety and dynamics, the 2010 Range Rover benefits from two intuitive interior technologies - a world first dual view infotainment touch screen and the world's largest configurable 12" Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen which displays all driver information via cleverly designed 'virtual' dials and graphical displays.

Also on show at the free-to-visit Motorexpo will be the Freelander 2 TD4_e, Land Rover's most fuel-efficient vehicle to date and the world's first SUV featuring intelligent stop/start technology. The Freelander TD4_e, now on sale in the UK, delivers an 8% reduction in CO2 emissions and potential fuel savings of up to 20% in heavy urban traffic.

Land Rover will be offering visitors to the show test drives of the new Freelander 2 TD4_e on road and will also showcase the capabilities of its vehicles on 'Terrapod' - the man-made off-road demonstration unit which has been a star attraction at the London Motorexpo in previous years.

John Edwards, Land Rover UK managing director says: "We are extremely pleased to be returning to the London Motorexpo this year. It is well documented that our industry is experiencing extraordinary conditions at present but we must invest in the future and continue to market vehicles that are relevant, practical and above all desirable to our customers. The 2009 London Motorexpo is a unique event which offers us an ideal opportunity for showcasing our new model line-up to the British public for the first time."

Graeme Carver, Motorexpo managing director said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Land Rover back to the London Motorexpo for our 2009 event and to be the platform for the UK debut of their full 2010 model year line-up. I believe that our free to visit format will ensure that Motorexpo is the must see motoring event of this summer and we look forward to working alongside all our exhibitors to help drive sales at this tough time."
