With all the talk about alternative powertrain vehicles on the roads, many forget that Chrysler leads the industry with the most zero-emission electric vehicles. Chrysler subsidiary GEM, or Global Electric Motorcars, in the last decade has put 38,000 electric neighborhood vehicles on the roads.
Now GEM has a new name – GreenEcoMobility – and new styling to lead its expansion into the next decade. The new name signifies the company’s goal of redefining environmentally friendly vehicles.

Today, in front of 4,000 soldiers, Army Spc. Michael Gallagher took possession of his new vehicle, an all-new, custom-painted 2008 Jeep® Liberty. The vehicle was provided to him by Chrysler LLC in partnership with Operation Gratitude. The vehicle includes a custom-painted mural that honors five fallen soldiers in Gallagher’s unit.

For the 450 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealers in Canada, things are looking pretty good: 21 straight months of sales growth to be solidly the 2nd best selling lineup in the country, the best sales month ever for Dodge Ram, and the best April results in over five years and 2007’s top market share and sales volume gain.
