Increasingly sophisticated on-board entertainment, navigation and information systems are among the must-have features of today's premium cars, but adjusting and monitoring their functions can risk taking a driver's attention away from the road ahead. Designing a centralised control system that is simple to understand, intuitive to use and likely to cause the least distraction from the job of driving was a key challenge for Lexus in designing the new RX 450h.

Lexus has launched a new sports-inspired IS 250. The new Sports Package adds unique 18-inch split five-spoke alloy wheels, satellite navigation, aluminium pedals and sports suspension.
Furthermore, the Sports Package, based on IS 250 Prestige grade, also gains leather-accented seat material over the alcantara material of the previous Sports model.
The Sports Package also offers a significant saving in recommended retail price compared with the previous discontinued Sports model grade.

RX 450h will become Australia's greenest SUV when it launches in mid-2009, achieving fuel economy figures and emissions closer to a small four-cylinder sedan.
The petrol-electric hybrid will sip just 6.4 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres* and emit just 150grams of CO2 - a figure not achieved in any SUV in Australia.
In keeping with the performance focus of Lexus, RX 450h will be no slouch, developing 220kW of power from the petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain - 10 per cent more power than the outgoing model.

Lexus will stage the Australian debut of its own supercar, the LF-A Roadster, at the Melbourne International Motor Show on 27 February.
The LF-A Roadster goes on display in Melbourne after headlining motor shows in Tokyo and Detroit.
