A Comeback of a Legend. Scirocco Rises from The Ashes.
There are cars like Scirocco, that stay in our hearts forever. Some of them live by our memory and other live, because they are constantly reinvented. The Scirocco comes back to life, just like a phoenix rises from the aches. There was a time, 41 years ago, when the first GTS was introduced at Geneva Motor Show and instantly became an icon not only for the German coupes, but for all of Europe.
Now Volkswagen presents a wonderful redesigned and revised edition, that keeps the traditions alive, but at the same time a modern technology is added. The completely restyled Scirocco GTS comes with 220 hp (162 kW). The Volkswagen customers and fans will notice that the Scirocco engine is similar to the Golf GTI powerplant. In fact, yes, the brand intentionally got the design and performance genes of the GTI series and put them in the newborn GTS powerplant.
At the end, when we talk about the engine system, Scirocco demonstrates a four-cylinder turbo-charged petrol engine, that is well-known for its incredible response time and agility. An in addition, it is designed to fit and perform in full harmony with either the manual gearbox, or the special 6-speed DSG gearbox. The top speed is 246 km/h and the car will go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
The interior also deserved its attention. The red and black colors dominate and blend together to bring that sporty look and feel. The comfortable cabin includes beautiful inlays, GTS badges, stainless steel pedals, redesigned seats, special air vents and other.
And when it comes to technology, we definitely must tell you about the Modular Infotainment Matrix, that is included for the first time in a Scirocco model. In fact, the Scirocco model can be ordered with customizable interior tweaks, that include the "Vienna" leather pack, panoramic sunroof, multifunctional steering wheel and many other.
The Scirocco GTS is really a special car, that brings back good memories and is ready to get you to adventure like no other.
