Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Edition at the 2010 Texas State Fair
Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Edition have been presented at the Texas State Fair September 24th to October 17th. The big truck is going into direct fight against range-topping GMC Sierra Denali and Ford F-Series King Ranch.
The upgrades compared to a standart Ram are White Gold lower-body paint, a chrome grille and 20" chrome-clad aluminum wheels. The interior goodies feature leather upholstery, burled walnut trim and saddlebag-inspired rear seat pockets. Furthermore, Longhorn Edition has heated and ventilated front seats, a revised shifter and all-weather floor mats with polished logos.
"We took Ram Laramie Longhorn's design cues from traditionally handcrafted, time-tested wares, such as the antique pocket watch, a fine pair of hand-tooled leather cowboy boots, a collector's-grade shotgun or a horseman's saddle. The metal work and leather work are second to none.", commented Ryan Nagode, Design Program Lead.
Ram Laramie Longhorn will be available in 1500 (half-ton), 2500 HD (3/4 ton) and 3500 HD single and dual rear wheel (1 ton), Crew Cab and Mega Cab; four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive; and short- and long-wheelbase models.
Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Edition will join the other trim levels: ST, SLT, Outdoorsman, Sport (1500 only) Laramie and Power Wagon (2500 only).
The truck will be available to order in the beginning of 2011. Prices will be announced closer to launch.
