Toyota has made some seasonal nips and tucks to its Yaris range to make it an even more appealing prospect for customers. New to the line-up is a revised TR feature grade, which now comes with smart 15-inch eight-spoke alloys as standard, just like the range-topping T Spirit models.

Long before the first new Prius reached the showroom, Toyota had plans in place to ensure that when the car reaches the end of its useful life it can be disposed of in an environmentally responsible fashion.

Climbing into a car that's been parked for a while on even a moderately sunny day can be an uncomfortable experience and is likely to provoke full-blast operation of the air conditioning, using up fuel and increasing emissions. Toyota has solved the problem with a new solar-powered ventilation system that keeps the interior cool, with no need for the engine to be running. And to make sure the temperature is just right before you get inside, it has produced the world's first Remote Air Conditioning control, operated

When it comes to environmental performance, new Prius's achievements are not just about the fuel economy and clean running offered by its Toyota Hybrid Drive full hybrid powertrain. Toyota's determination to reduce emissions and promote sustainability prompted it to research and develop the world's first injection moulded material to be derived from plant matter.

Fifteen years ago the original RAV4 created a new market segment for compact, fun-to-drive SUVs. It is said that when you are at the top, the only way you can go is down. Not so for the remarkable Toyota Prius, which this summer takes its advanced hybrid power technology and environmental leadership on to a higher level.
The new, third-generation Prius will not only be the world's most technically advanced mainstream car, it will also demonstrate the real world benefits of Toyota's market-leading hybrid powertrain, Hybrid Synergy Drive.
